Inner-system spine mutual relations

The author’s system of treatment at the osteochondrosis (incl. intervertebral disc herniation) is developed on a basis of opening by A.V. Ushakov of “The Inner-system spine mutual relations” (2002).

I. Previous investigations

Previous investigations at the spinal osteochondrosis and intervertebral disc herniation showed presence of the following important regularities (look at the drawing 1):

  • Definite spinal segments are more often suffered,
  • Staggered spinal structures influence its definite areas.
Drawing 1. Scheme of functional interrelations between motive spinal segments (acc. I.Z. Samosyuk and co-authors, 1992)
Drawing 1. Scheme of functional interrelations between motive spinal segments (acc. I.Z. Samosyuk and co-authors, 1992)
Spine is described schematically in a form of chain of sections, corresponding to segments. Investigation, having conducted by the professor I.Z. Samosyuk and co-authors among 142 patients, showed existence of acupunctural interrelations between definite spinal segments. Empirically revealed data allowed the authors approximately to define the areas, more often being subject to changes (the author called them as “key zones”), and also the system of the most popular acupunctural relations in the spine.

In this connection, let’s ask several questions:

  • Why do the same spinal areas (segments) preferably suffer?
  • Why does the staggered spinal segment (including intervertebral disc) promote changes in the definite spinal areas?
  • Are there any other rules in the spine?

II. Analytic search for answers

Analytic search for answers these or some other questions allowed to reveal the regular system of interrelations in the spine (A.V. Ushakov, 2002).

  1. Originally, on a basis of the general “Dialectic antipathy law” (the same as “Law of struggle of antipodes”), the hypothesis concerning presence in the spine of functional antipodes (including structural ones) has been drawn out.
  2. Data concerning community and opposite difference between spinal sections have been analyzed.
  3. Data concerning vertebral structure, alternation of mobile and slow-moving sections, alternation of the physiological curvature (lordosis and kyphosis), anatomic variations (sacralization and lumbarization) etc. allowed to reveal a system of the level-sensitive opposite-polar spinal subdivision (look at the drawing 2).
Drawing 2. Principal block-scheme of the spinal division into opposite-polar elements
Drawing 2. Principal block-scheme of the spinal division into opposite-polar elements
Spine is presented in a form of the elongated right-angled block, divided into the smaller rectangles – system’s elements. Dark-light shading gradient – is a visual sign of the opposite qualities’ manifestation. Division of the corresponding level is designated by Roman numerals. Each element of the system may be considered as a subsystem, which, in its turn, contains its own elements. In this case, 1 and 2 – are opposite-relating parts of the Ist level, and 1, 2, 3 and 4 – are parts of the IInd pair’s level.

Theoretical modeling showed, that:

  • More often staggered spinal areas exactly ((!, P < 0,01) correspond to the spinal segments, located near the borders of the opposite spinal segments! (look at the drawing 3)
  • Interrelations between opposite relating spinal areas exactly (!, P < 0,05) correspond to empirically revealed acupunctural interconnections! (look at the drawing 4)
  • Analogical principle of organization of the opposite interrelations and of the functionally active areas (“key zones”) is also isomorphically revealed in the other systems (digestive tract, ureter, heart etc.)!

Synonym – “key zones”

As a result, the essence and private peculiarities of the organization of the Inner-system Spinal Interrelations is revealed (A.V. Ushakov, 2002).

The detailed description of interrelations is presented at the monograph of A.V. Ushakov “Sternopucture at the spinal disco-radiculopaties” and at the scientific-practical journal “Prospects of the traditional medicine” 1, 2005, page 13-18.

This opening promotes to:

  • Understanding of changes development in the spine.
  • Opportunity of renewal of functional interrelations in the spine at the osteochondrosis (incl. intervertebral herniation).
  • Achievement of the results’ stability during treatment.

The source about “Inner-system Spinal Interrelations” is scientifically soundly and in detail stated at the monograph of A.V. Ushakov “”Sternopuncture at the spinal disco-radiculopathies” (critics: associate prof. of medicine, L.G. Agasarov,) associate prof. of medicine, S.A. Radzievsky).
